After the stress of AP exams are finally finished, Jamesville-DeWitt High School juniors will be able to enjoy a night of fun and relaxation. The black-and-white themed junior prom will be in the Auxiliary Gym on May 14 from 7-10 pm. Students look forward to dressing up and having a good time with their fellow classmates. Tickets will be $40 for juniors, but $50 for sophomores, seniors and freshman as well as guests from outside J-DHS.
Wannajam Productions will organize the music for the night. “The DJ really makes or breaks the dance so hopefully he does a good job,” says junior Lizzie Redmore, referring to DJ Wannajam. In addition to the music, students can look forward to a photo booth, chocolate fountain, and breathtaking decorations. “I’m most excited for getting to hang out with all my friends there,” says junior Seth Blair. “It should be a lot of fun.” says Chemistry teacher and junior class adviser Amy Becker.
“Getting ready is probably the best part,” said sophomore Ayla Erwin. Students look forward to dressing up and having a good time with their fellow classmates. “I matched my dress to the theme because I thought it would be cool,” said senior Paige Sherling. Juniors Bess Murad and Emily Pomeroy also look forward to taking pictures with their dates and friends before prom. “It will be nice to see all my friends dress up and look nice,” says Pomeroy.
