Athletic Achievements Under Bill Brown

During the 16 years that Bill Brown has been the athletic director at Jamesville-DeWitt School District, athletic teams have flourished and won setional titles. We can thank him for these achievements because of his organization and support.
- When Mr. Brown was the coach of the Varsity football team in 1996, the team won their first sectional title.
- The same year was the first and only time that the team won a regional title. The following year, the team won their second league title under the direction of Mr. Brown.
- During Mr. Brown's last year as the athletic director at J-D, the Varsity Girls Soccer Team collected their first ever sectional title.
- The team also won a regional title.
- This is the farthest that girls soccer team has ran through sectionals on record.
- Since the day Mr. Brown became the athletic director, the Girl's Varsity Cross Country Team has collected seven league championships.
- The first four were won in a row from the season of 1996 to the season of 1999.
- The last three also came in a row from the 2007 season to the 2009 season.
- The team won its first sectional title in 2009 as well.
- The past two seasons have been the best for the Boy's Varsity Cross Country Team.
- The team collected a league championship and a sectional title in both the 2008 and the 2010 seasons.
- This makes four total league titles and two total sectional titles for the team.
- The Varsity Girls Swim Team is also a team that was in the spotlight during Mr. Brown's career at J-D.
- In 1995, the team won the first of five titles with Mr.Brown working as the athletic director.
- The team also won two back to back sectional titles from the 1995 season to the 1996 season.
- In 1996, the team stole the state title as well.
- A typical winning J-D athletic team, The Varsity Girl's Gymnastics Team has won five league titles total, four of which came under Mr.Brown.
- To add to these, the team has won six straight sectional titles from the 2004 season to the 2009 season.
- Out of the 16 years that Mr. Brown has been working here, the Varsity Girl's Tennis team has won 10 league titles.
- Five of these titles came in a row from the 2001 to the 2005 season.
- The same four years were the years that the team won their four sectional titles with Mr.Brown.
- One team famous for their achievements is the Boy's Varsity Basketball Team.
- During Mr. Browns time the team was victorious in 11 league titles.
- The 11 titles came in row from the 1999-2000, to the 2009-2010 season.
- To add to it, the team collected six sectional titles. Five of these sectional titles turned into regional titles.
- Three of these regional titles turned into state titles.
- In the 1996- 1997 season, the Girl's Varsity Basketball team won their second sectional title and extended their season to win their first regional title.
- That same year, the team stole the league title as well.
- The following year, the team stole their third sectional title.
- In the 2005-2006 season the team collected their seventh league title.
- The Varsity Boy's Indoor Track team has won a total of four sectional titles along with four league titles.
- The first pair of titles came back to back in the 1996-1997 season and the 1997-1998 season.
- The second pair of titles came in the 2007-2008 season and in the 2008-2009 season.
- The Boy's Varsity Swim team has won a total of four league titles.
- One of the titles came in the 1998-1999 season.
- The last titles were won in a row from the 2005-2006 season to the 2007-2008 season.
- Along with the league titles in the 2006-2007 season and the 2007-2008 season, the team stole sectional titles.
- Another team in the spotlight that was supported by Mr. Brown was the Boy's Varsity Lacrosse Team.
- In the 1997 season the team won their first league title. The same year the team won a sectional title.
- Three years later, the team collected another league title.
- Another three years later in the 2003 season, the team collected a leauge title again, along with a sectional title.
- That same year, the team went on and won their fourth total regional title.
- Two years later, the team won the league, section, and region title again.
- The following four years in a row, the team collected four league titles.
- Two out of the four years, the team won sectional and regional titles.
- For the second time, in the 2007 season, the team won a state title.
- In the 1999 season, the Varsity Boys Baseball Team won their second league title.
- The same season, the team collected their first of two sectional titles.
- Four years later in the 2003 season, the team collected their third league title and second sectional title.
- In the 2007 and the 2008 seasons, the team collected back-to-back league titles.
- Out of the 15 seasons that Mr. Brown has been at J-D , the Varsity Girls Softball team has won six sectional titles.
- The first sectional title was collected in the season of 1998.
- The following year, the team stole their seventh league title. Two years later was the start of the team's five-year run.
- Out of the five years, the team won five league titles.
- Out of the five seasons, the team stole the sectional title four times, and even collected two regional titles.
- In the 1996 season, the Varsity Boys Track and Field team took their first ever league title.
- The following year, the team collected their second league title.
- In the 2006 season, the team stole their second sectional title.
- Last year, the team won their second sectional title, and added their fourth league title as well.
- The second year of Mr. Brown's career at J-D, the Varsity Girls Track and Field team started their four year run of dominance.
- From the 1996 season to the 1999 season, the team collected four league titles.
- The team collected their first sectional title in the 2009 season.
- They snatched their sixth league title the same season.
- The Varsity Boys Tennis team has been victorious in many league and sectional titles.
- From the 1996 to the 1999 season, the team collected four straight league and sectional titles.
- Prior to that in the 1995 season, the team collected fourth league title, and they were rewarded sectional runners-up.
- The team took two years off, but came back in the year of 2002 and won another league and another sectional title.
- For the following three years, the Tennis team stole three straight league titles, and another sectional title.
- Three years later, they collected their tenth sectional title.
- Although it was their first season in 1997, the Varsity Girls Golf team still collected their first sectional title.
- For the next four years, the girls won straight sectional titles, including two league titles.
- Two years later, the team went on another run, and won two more back to back sectional titles.
- The Golf team won their fifth sectional title last year.
