Boys Lacrosse
Ranked No. 2 in the state and No. 4 in the nation, the Jamesville-DeWitt High School Boys Varsity Lacrosse team started the season with a flawless 14-0 record. Led by the dominant senior trio of Jake Brateck, Cam Stone and Eric DeJohn the team is looking to repeat last year’s Section III crown and make a run at the state championship. “Every team is gunning for us, so we get their best game, which is making us better,” says junior Brad Diamond. The Red Rams posted impressive wins in both their 16-9 victory in their season opener over West Genesse and their non-league 13-11 victory over Fairport on April 24.

The J-DHS Boys Track and Field team continues their dominance this season, currently undefeated in the league. The team is led once again by senior running phenom Bumkoth Jiak who has posted impressive times in both the 800 meters (one minute, 54 seconds) and the mile (four minutes, 19 seconds.) “With the unmatched speed and strength of the distance squad, the team will surely be carried to another sectional victory,” says junior Austin Davis.
