Creative Writing Club to Unveil "Rambunctious"

"There isn't much for me to say, it's really about the kids," says Marilyn Shelton, English teacher at Jamesville-DeWitt High School.
Mrs. Shelton's attitude towards her Creative Writing Club is very fitting. One of J-DHS's newest clubs, it was created last year for students wishing to extend their writing outside of English class. This year, the Creative Writing Club is hoping to become more widespread.
Rambunctious, the club's literary journal, is an attempt at collecting a mass of student written work and publishing it for the school's use. The two leaders of the journal understand that with any entirely student publication, receiving submissions is the hardest part. To get the word out, seniors Jenny Keeler and Sarah Lesser utilized the English department. In English classes throughout the high school teachers read the instructions explaining the goal of Rambunctious. As the journal awaits its first edition for the spring, Keeler and Lesser can only hope their strategies will pay off.
